Kitchen tap fittings
Our taps are perfectly matched to the kitchen sinks. In selected collections, 6 lightfast colours round off the picture harmoniously.
We offer the two models Como Window and Como Shower Window.
Our taps are equipped with the following spray types: laminar spray, comfort spray and shower spray.
Please feel free to contact our service staff at info.bad@villeroy-boch.com or via our contact form.
Como X can only be combined with sinks that have the tap hole on the right-hand side, as the eccentric can only be fitted to the left. Unfortunately, installation on a double bowl sink is not possible.
The cartridge can be replaced as follows. Close the angle valves, loosen the fixing screw (1) of the handle lever with an Allen key. Remove the handle lever, the rosette (2) and the union nut (3) and remove the cartridge. After checking the inside of the tap for dirt ingress, insert the new cartridge and secure it with the union nut. Reinstall the rosette and handle lever in reverse order.
The aerator should be cleaned or replaced here. This can be unscrewed directly at the spout. The strainer that then appears is the actual aerator, which ensures the beautiful shape of the water jet.
The tap fitting is fitted with a cartridge and ceramic discs. If the ceramic discs are damaged by dirt washed in from the piping system, then this can also cause a leak shortly after installation. The manufacturer is not responsible for these leakages.
The leakages can be stopped by replacing the cartridge.
The supply line must be flushed in accordance with valid standards before installing the tap fitting. A household water filter that meets valid standards must be installed.
The leak can be stopped by replacing the cartridge.
The dripping can be stopped by replacing the cartridge.
Check the correct seating of the hose weight/return spring. Also check whether the swivel range of the tap fitting is centred in its normal position and that it is not in at the limit stop on the right or left. Make sure the hose does not rub against the connecting hoses or any objects in the sink cabinet.
The swivel spout is mounted on sealing rings. If the rings are damaged by scale and dirt deposits, then leakages can occur. Replacing and greasing the sealing rings will make the tap fitting fully functional again.
On brass tap fittings, release the lever plug (usually the cold/hot mark) and tighten the fastening screw again using the Allen key.
On stainless steel tap fittings, the (unconcealed) set screw is located on the underside of the lever. Simply tighten it again using the Allen key.
Noises in the piping system are caused by high pressure conditions or loose pipes in the in-wall installation. As a general rule, noises are not caused by the tap fitting. Ask your plumber about fitting a pressure reducing valve to solve the problem.
Check the correct opening of the angle valves.
Check the routing of the connecting hoses. Have you made sure that they are not getting squeezed?
Is the aerator blocked?
Has inflowing dirt collected in the connecting hoses or on/in the ceramic cartridge?
If there are leakages at this point, water leaks from the spray screw connection and runs along the spray hose into the base or sink cabinet. Check the connection between the hose and pull-out spout/spray and tighten the union nut.
If the aerator is dirty, this can result in the tap fitting dripping.
We recommend cleaning the aerator at intervals of 2-4 months, depending on how dirty it is and the amount of scale.
Unscrew the aerator and leave the insert in vinegar over night. Rinse the aerator insert with plenty of water.
Use a mild cleaning agent and a soft cloth. Cleaners containing muriatic acid, formic acid, chlorine bleach solution or acetic acid, as well as abrasive cleaning agents, must not be used as they can cause substantial damage.
Prevent scale formation on the tap fitting by cleaning it regularly.
When spray cleaning the tap fitting, always spray the cleaning solution onto the cleaning cloth (not onto the tap fitting) and use the cloth to clean the tap fitting, as the spray can penetrate openings and gaps in the tap fitting and cause damage.
After cleaning the tap fitting, rinse it with clear water to remove all cleaner residues.
Kitchen sinks
For chipping in the ceramic, we offer a ceramic repair pen in the respective sanitary colour.
However, even when repairing with this pin, a patch will always be visible. If cracks have formed, they will continue to develop and the bowl will have to be replaced at some point. For this reason, the crack should always be monitored. We will be happy to send you a ceramic repair pen free of charge, which you can use to repair chipped glaze and minor damage to your sink. Please let us know the exact colour designation and your full address. Brief instructions for use are included on the touch-up pen. Cramer also offers special repair kits for ceramics. Among other things, the set contains a filler that can be used to fill larger holes before the colour is applied.
CAUTION!
Check the sink for any possible damage BEFORE INSTALLATION.
Only install flawless sinks.
IMPORTANT! Only work with safety goggles and suitable protective clothing!
BEFORE INSTALLING the sink, punch the required tap holes as follows:
Carefully transfer the centre of the required tap hole from the underside of the sink and mark it on the glazed surface.
The tap hole may only be punched from the GLAZED SURFACE and NEVER FROM THE UNDERSIDE OF THE SINK!
Use suitable tools (e.g. hammer and punch) to punch the pre-punched tap hole from top to bottom.
When doing so, always start by placing the punch in the middle of the tap hole. Then enlarge the hole to the required diameter.
Make sure the glazing around the tap hole does not get damaged.
We offer a wide range of accessories for our sinks (e.g. wire baskets, cutting boards, sieves and waste bowls).
This is almost always so-called metal abrasion.
This occurs when metal objects rub against the ceramic. As the ceramic is very hard, these streaks occur. However, these can be easily removed again. To do this, simply rub the streaks away with a dry cloth and a little ceramic hob cleaner.
Yes, the sink and drain system are designed for this.
CeramicPlus is available for our complete brand range of ceramic sinks.
CeramicPlus is resistant to disinfectants. The manufacturer's instructions for these products must be observed. Exceptions are products with PH 12 and products containing chlorine, which could impair the effect of prolonged contact with the CeramicPlus surface.
Black marks on ceramic can be caused by metal abrasion from jewellery, for example. These marks can be removed with Etolit or Stahlfix. To do this, apply the cleaning agent to a dry cloth and rub the dry, soiled area. However, these cleaning agents can damage the ceramic surface if used repeatedly. Therefore, only ever treat the actual soiling, do not clean the entire pool with it.
A firing process at over 1,200°C produces a compact and robust ceramic that can easily withstand the strains of everyday domestic use.
In addition to the classic built-in sink, we also supply undercounter sinks, flat (flush-fit) sinks and modules.
The sink's abrasion resistance will ensure that it stays nice and shiny for many years. As the colours do not fade, the sinks can be installed in front of a window without any worries.
