How to remove hair dye from a washbasin!

Have splashes of dye dripped onto your washbasin when colouring your hair? Remove the hair dye immediately to prevent damage to the material. Rinse the dye off with warm water. If any stains remain, try the following cleaning tips:

Scouring cream and baking powder to tackle hair dye on the washbasin

For stubborn hair dye stains on ceramic, use scouring cream or baking powder. Clean the stains with a soft sponge to avoid scratching the surface of the washbasin.

Simple household remedies: bicarbonate of soda to remove stains

Bicarbonate of soda is a mild scouring agent that can also be used to remove stubborn hair dye stains from ceramic. However, it is less suitable for sensitive materials such as porcelain and enamel.

Vinegar as a household all-rounder

You can also use vinegar to remove hair dye from your washbasin. Simply dilute the vinegar with water, leave the solution to work for 30 minutes and then rinse off.
